Application -> Sound and Video -> OpenShot Video Editor എന്ന ക്രമത്തിലാണ് ഈ സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയര്‍ ഓപ്പണ്‍ ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്. താഴെ കാണുന്നതാണ് OpenShot Video Editor ന്റെ മെയിന്‍ പേജ്.
എഡിറ്റു ചെയ്യേണ്ട വീഡിയോ അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറില്‍ മുന്‍കൂട്ടി സേവ് ചെയ്തു വെച്ചിരിക്കണം. ഡോക്യുമെന്ററിയില്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കേണ്ട ഓഡിയോയും സേവ് ചെയ്ത് വെച്ചിരിക്കണം.

ഓപ്പണ്‍ ഷോട്ട് വീഡിയോ എഡിറ്റര്‍ സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയറിന്റെ ഹോം പേജിലെ പ്രധാന ടൂള്‍സ് താഴെ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

ഓഡിയോ ക്ലിപ്പിനെ മുറിക്കാനാണ് Razor Mode ടൂള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.
Snapping ടൂള്‍ Enable ചെയ്തതിനു ശേഷം Razor ടൂള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍

വീഡിയോ പ്ലേ ബാക്ക് കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍
നാം വീഡിയോ എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സന്ദര്‍ഭങ്ങളില്‍ പലപ്പോഴും വീഡിയോ പ്ലേ ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതായി വരാം. പല തരത്തിലും വീഡിയോ പ്ലേ ബാക്ക് കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കാം. താഴെ പറയുന്നവയാണ് അവ.
- Click the (Play, Fast-forward, etc...)

വീഡിയോ എക്സ്പോര്‍ട്ട്
മുകളിലെ ടൂള്‍ ബാറിലെ ചുവന്ന നിറത്തിലുള്ള ബട്ടണ്‍ ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്താല്‍ എക്സപോര്‍ട്ട് വിന്‍ഡോ ലഭിക്കും.
എക്സപോര്‍ട്ട് വിന്‍ഡോ താഴെ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
1. File Name : നാം സേവ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ പോകുന്ന വീഡിയോക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള ഒരു പേരു നല്‍കാം.
2. Export in Folder :എവിടെയാണ് വീഡിയോ സേവ് ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്. ഇവിടെ നമുക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള Destination Place തെരെഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം.
3. File Format : All Formats, Blue Ray, DVD, Devices, Web എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിവിധ ഓപ്ഷനുകള്‍ കാണാം. ഇതില്‍ നിന്നും ഒരെണ്ണം തെരെഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം. All Format തെരെഞ്ഞെടുത്താല്‍ വിവിധ Target ഓപ്ഷന്‍ താഴെ ലഭിക്കുന്നതായിരിക്കും.
4. Target : ഫയല്‍ ടൈപ്പ് ആണ് ഇവിടെ സെലെക്ട് ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്. FLY, AVI, MPEG എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിവിധ ഫയല്‍ ടൈപ്പുകളില്‍ നിന്നും ഒന്ന് തെരെഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക.
5. Video Profile : DV/DVD PAL തെരെഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം.
6. Quality : High എന്നു നല്‍കുക.
7. Export Video എന്ന ബട്ടണ്‍ ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്യുക.
ഇപ്പോള്‍ വീഡിയോ എക്സ്പോര്‍ ആവുന്നതു കാണാം. വീഡിയോയുടെ വലിപ്പത്തിനനുസരിച്ച് ഈ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ഏറെ സമയമെടുക്കുന്നതാണ്.
